The Download Post

Last updated: 9 May 2012.

Most of the links in this post were MegaUpload links (may it rest in peace), so I've removed the ones that are no longer good. I hope to get everything back up in time.

Enjoy.Collapse )
Up until the last 15 minutes or so of the finale, everything was making sense and playing out. But during the last 15-20 minutes, one thought was continually going through my mind, and that that was:

"What the ... ??? !!!"

Or something of that sort.

From here on out, there are spoilers.Collapse )

All in all, I'm really quite disappointed with the way that the series ended. I feel like it created more loose ends than it tied, and left quite a bit to be desired.

In Memoriam

This is a very sad day for Marshall University's School of Music and Theatre. We've lost a great staff member and a loving, caring person. Mrs. Beverly McKinney went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013. She fought a long and courageous battle with inoperable brain cancer.

Beverly was always able and willing to help the students and the faculty in any way she could. When I transferred to Marshall in 2010, she was so helpful with organizing the paper work and with helping me to get acquainted with Marshall's faculty and ways.

Beverly's obituary can be viewed here, along with condolences to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

In Memoriam: Harold W. Kessinger.

My grandfather went home to be with the Lord today. Please keep my family in your prayers.

My dear grandmother passed away this afternoon. Are hearts are grieved and we miss her, but we know that she is rejoicing in Heaven with her friends and family who have gone on before and with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please keep my family in your prayers, that God will give us the peace that passes all understanding.

My dear Aunt Mary passed away yesterday at 10:30am. She lived with her daughter in Orlando, FL for most of my life, but I always loved whenever she came to visit. She was a gifted artist, and three of her beautiful paintings hang proudly in our living room. She was also very knowledgeable about the Bible; my former pastor loved to talk to her and often said that she had forgotten more about the Bible than he ever knew.

Although we will miss her here, I know that Heaven is rejoicing at her homecoming.

Today is my sister's birthday. She would have been 29 years old.

(Cross-posted to cat_adoration.)

We adopted a beautiful solid-black cat named Max when his daddy passed away. He's about 7 years old, and has a little heart-shaped white spot on his chest. We had to take him to the shelter today because he was fighting with our dachshund and our other cat and acting out at us.

He is neutered and declawed on his front paws. He gets along well with other cats, but not so much with dogs. He generally likes men better than women.

If you live in the Charleston, WV area and would like to adopt Max, please let me know! In addition to giving you details on how to adopt Max, I can give you a full compliment of treats, a litter box, toys, and a cat carrier, free of charge.

We didn't really have time to take a photo of Max, but here's what he looks like (click for full size):

More Collected Download Links

After some fishing around, I found several more flute recordings and a couple of violin and ensemble recordings as well.

*Edit: I'm also going to list some VERY useful 4Shared folders that I've found. I forgot to include them in the first 'Collected Download Links' post.

More links.Collapse )

A comment would be appreciated if you take anything. :)

101 In 1001

I've decided that this list doesn't reflect my life any longer. There are so many things that are related to WVU and whatnot, and there's really no way that I can do many of these things anymore. I'll still keep this post around and I might make a new list eventually, but for now I'm not going to worry about it.

New year, new start.Collapse )

Collected download links.

Back during the Summer I started a collection of download links that I labeled "Awesome CDs." It started with flute recordings only, then branched into violin recordings, and eventually to some voice and ensemble recordings as well. There are a respectable number of them now, so I thought I would share them with anyone who wants them.

All of these are quality recordings that I highly recommend, regardless of your personal taste. :)

Please keep in mind that I did not upload any of these, so things like size, number of parts, and file host are not up to me. All of these link back to the original blog post.

Articles of Faith

I think I mentioned awhile back that I was going to do this, but for whoever missed that post, these are the Articles of Faith that my church goes by.

I've had religious discussions with many of you, and I got to thinking when my church passed these out that sometimes it may not be clear to you exactly what I believe and/or exactly why I believe it.

And that's precisely what these Articles of Faith are: exactly what I believe, and exactly why I believe it.

(Please note that the paper I have lists the scriptures below each section that back it up; I've made all of those scriptures links so that you can read them on blueletterbible.org. Please also note that all scriptures are from the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible.)

So, without further ado. . .

iTunes Library Update

Here are all of the albums that are in my iTunes library (149). If you would like me to upload any for you so that you can download them, or give you a link as to where they can be downloaded, just ask.

Warning: Some of these albums are incomplete for whatever reason. Perhaps I couldn't find all of the tracks, I only bought one track from iTunes, etc. If that is the case of album that you ask for, I'll tell you and try my best to find you the complete album.

Also warning: The following are actual screenshots of my iTunes library. Probably not dial-up friendly.

In Memorium

Tina passed away this morning. She was whimpering and apparently in pain, so my parents drove her to the vet. I had been up all night, most of which I spent praying for her, so my parents didn't wake me up when they went. The vet said that there was no way that she could get better, so my parents decided to have her put down. Dr. Lee gave her an overdose of anesthesia, and she was gone in 30 seconds. He said that if they hadn't brought her in, she would have died today anyway.

Thank you all for all of your prayers and thoughts. My family and I really appreciate it.
